Long standing Bristol law firm Burroughs Day has gone into administration.

Ashfords LLP, led by partner Sam Palmer, has been appointed as solicitor managers on the administration and will provide regulatory reassurance and business structure planning to professional services firms and their clients.

The team are also regularly appointed by administrators of professional services firms to take the solicitor manager appointments to ensure that clients’ interests are always protected.

Sam Palmer, Head of Professional & Financial Risks at Ashfords, said: “This is a very challenging time for law firms in particular, and we are pleased to be able to help all parties move forward and find the best possible solutions that protect the interests of clients, employees and other key stakeholders.”

Leading legal restructuring experts, Andrew Hosking and Sean Bucknall of Quantuma, have also been appointed as joint administrators for Burroughs Day.
