Major takeaway chains across Britain start to reopen

Covid-19 News | Food & Drink | Latest News | Retail

Three major takeaway chains have today announced limited reopening times after closing last month due to the coronavirus lockdown.

KFC, Burger King and Pret A Manger are opening certain restaurants around Britain, but will only be offering a delivery service.

Government guidelines currently state that while restaurants and takeaways must remain shut, they can prepare food for collection or delivery.

KFC will reopen 11 restaurants in Aldershot, Birmingham, Glasgow, Ipswich, London, Manchester, Portsmouth, Stockport, and Tamworth.

Burger King is to reopen four restaurants in Bristol (2), Coventry and Swindon. Pret a Manger will reopen 10 shops near London hospitals.
