Manchester-based Zoek, an online UK based job board, has expanded overseas.
The company launched in India this summer and has just unveiled its US arm of the company. Further plans to establish operations across parts of the Middle East and Europe are also on the near horizon.
Zoek India launched in August and has seen over 5 million job views on the site. Plans for an office are also scheduled to open in Mumbai later this year, with several members of the team currently working remotely.
Matthew Sanders, CEO and founder of the company, comments: “The potential in India is of course massive. When looking at which country to begin with, India’s huge job market and its highly skilled workforce made it the obvious choice.
“We have seen how much we can help people find the right work in the UK and are very excited about showing jobseekers and employers in India just how much Zoek can help them.”
Unemployment rates in the US are at 7.9% as of September 2020, according to a Statista report, in comparison to 3.7% the previous year. This steady decline has been seen since Covid-19 first hit April this year when unemployment was at a record low of 14.7%.
With over two million jobs already live on Zoek US, and over 1.5 million job views, the job board has a plethora of potential candidates and companies registered to be matched.
Moving into the US and Indian markets has grown the sales, marketing and web development teams both for the UK headquarters of the company.
