Marie Curie fundraiser
Marie Curie Cancer Care’s Community Fundraising team, headed by Lucy Stockall, is calling on the people of North Somerset to get behind the charity’s latest campaign by hosting a Blooming Great Tea Party this June or July.
Lucy comments: “We are asking people to pop the kettle on, invite some friends round and have fun whilst raising money to help Marie Curie Nurses provide more free care to people with terminal illnesses in their homes in North Somerset.
“It can be as simple as a cuppa with colleagues, a vintage inspired tea party or even a larger party to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee.”
Children and staff at Honeytree Day Nursery in Weston-super-Mare have got behind the campaign and are looking forward to holding their Jubilee inspired Blooming Great Tea Party on June 8.
Nursery Nurse Mrs Judi Fraser says:“The children can’t wait to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care by holding their Blooming Great Tea Party, they’ve been learning all about the Royal Family and what the Diamond Jubilee is about and always enjoy having cake whenever there’s the opportunity, so I thought it was a perfect opportunity to get involved and do something fantastic for charity.
