Bristol law firm Meade King has appointed experienced property lawyer Leanne Donoghue who specialises in leasehold enfranchisement.
Leanne joins Meade King’s commercial property team having previously worked for SLC Solicitors in Shrewsbury, where she was a solicitor in the property department.
She specialises in advising both leaseholders and landlords in relation to lease extensions and collective enfranchisement (where the leaseholders of a building collectively buy the freehold), as well as the right to manage. Leanne also advises on a range of general landlord and tenant matters.
Meade King’s managing partner James Hawkins said: “We’re very pleased to welcome Leanne to our growing property team where she will help us to build our leasehold enfranchisement work.
“Leasehold properties are common in the Bristol area which has a high proportion of blocks of flats. So Leanne’s expertise will be in great demand among landlords and local tenants seeking to acquire the freehold of their buildings or extend their leases.”
