Mobile phone company BusinessMobiles.com has secured a £410,000 funding package from HSBC UK through the Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Scheme (CBILS).
The loan has enabled the company to protect 39 jobs and adapt its business model to focus on remote client support during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Headquartered in Park Royal, West London, BusinessMobiles.com provides mobiles to more than 20,000 business users across the UK, as well technology advice.
The funding from HSBC UK also allowed the company to increase its engagement and remote client support with customers through a newly created YouTube Channel, providing business success hacks and reviews of the latest apps and software to help customers maintain a competitive edge.
BusinessMobiles.com also used the funding to support staff during the pandemic by providing new equipment to enable effective home working.
Charmaine De Souza, Managing Director of BusinessMobiles.com, comments: “With the working environment changing overnight and the increased need for our business customers to use their mobile phones, we were keen to adapt quickly to support both them and our staff.
“The funding from HSBC UK has allowed us to be flexible and help us focus on delivering efficient and valued support to clients via a workforce based at home. In addition, our new social presence means we can reach and engage with our customers through a number of platforms and provide added value.”
