The independent car retailer, which is based on Whistler Drive in Castleford, has teamed up with the four-time Challenge Cup winners for the 2019 season as part of its drive to support its local community in West Yorkshire.

The Motorpoint logo features on the sleeve of all home, away and third kits while its new Price Pledge is on prominent display on the Princess Street Stand. It also appears prominently on all first team digital squad announcements shared on social media.

Castleford Tigers, who play at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle Stadium in Castleford, currently sit top of the Betfred Super League, the top tier of European rugby league, after four straight wins. Managed by Daryl Powell, two-time Super League Coach of the Year winner, they attract crowds well in excess of 7,500 for their home games.

Mick Martin-Roebuck, General Manager of Motorpoint Castleford, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be supporting the Castleford Tigers over the 2019 season and look forward to cheering on Michael and the rest of the boys from the Princess Street Stand as they look to lift the Betfred Super League Play Off Trophy come the end of September.”

Craig Jeffels, Commercial Manager at Castleford Tigers, added: “We are thrilled to have a company of the stature of Motorpoint on board as a partner at Castleford Tigers. Their drive to be the best is a goal we share at the club and we look forward to working closely with West Yorkshire’s leading car supermarket over the coming months.”
