Motorpoint set to move into Manchester – creating 30 new jobs

Motorpoint is set to create 30 new jobs with the opening of its latest branch in Manchester in early October.

The independent car retailer is busy transforming the former LSH Mercedes Benz dealership close to the Etihad Stadium as part of its ongoing nationwide expansion programme.

The new roles, for which Motorpoint has already begun actively recruiting, will cover areas such as Customer Service, Management, Sales and Vehicle Preparation.

The pending arrival of Motorpoint in Manchester follows the news that Motorpoint has been named the Best Company to Work For in the automotive sector, beating the likes of Porsche and Toyota in the process. Motorpoint, which has an established network of branches throughout England, Scotland and Wales, is scheduled to formally reveal its newest site to the public on Friday, October 1 following a multi-million-pound investment in the two-and-a-half-acre premises on Ashton Old Road.

The branch, which will be led by Jordan Dean, Head of Retail Operations for the North West, will stock 200 low mileage, nearly new cars and light commercial vehicles from 30 different manufacturer’s, all under four years old and with less than 30,000 miles. Every vehicle will be available to be driven away the same day from the branch or alternatively delivered free of charge to a customer’s home.

Plus, every vehicle will also come with the balance of manufacturer’s warranty backed by the Motorpoint Price Promise. This means Motorpoint will refund the difference to any customer within seven days of their order if they find the same car cheaper from a competitor.
