My Working Day – Rimi Thapar – Co-Founder of LoveRaw

As the leader of a company, you are there to set an example, to lead and inspire a team of individuals to achieve a series of business goals. But how do these business leaders go about their daily routine? Business Leader spoke to Rimi Thapar, Co-Founder of LoveRaw, about her working day.

What time do you wake up?

6.30/7 am.

What do you have for breakfast?

I first have a litre of warm water with salt and lemon. Then a smoothie with bananas, hemp seeds, almond butter, dates and cacao.

What is your mantra for your working day?

Today is going to be a good day!

As a business leader, is it hard to separate your business and personal life?

Yes, my worlds merge and I’m not mad about it. The business is also ingrained into our children, we work weekends, some evenings. Inversely, the LoveRaw team knows the juggle is real and sometimes I bring our children to work; I have even taken them to our investor meetings!

What advice would you give to aspiring female entrepreneurs?

To go for it, put the fear aside and take a risk. It is possible to grow your family alongside your business.

Who is your business idol? Why?

Sara Blakely. She has built an empire whilst growing a family and retaining integrity.

What motivates you?

Having a purpose other than my family. I need this to grow as a person.

How do you persevere through challenging times?

I think back to why I started the business, the fire in my belly, the passion and also knowing that I will learn something through the challenging process.

What are the biggest challenges you’ve faced as a female entrepreneur?

Growing a family whilst growing the business: it’s possible but challenging.

What is the best piece of advice you have received?

To be patient.

Are you hopeful about the future of female entrepreneurship in the UK? Why?

There is no better time to be a female entrepreneur than now. There are so many networks, so much support available. Investment funds that either solely support or encourage female founders. I am very hopeful!
