Coleman James, a Newcastle-based recruitment company, has appointed a new director who will work alongside managing director Andrew Mackay to help shape the firm’s future.
Astrid Clough joins the business to share her 12 years recruitment experience, 10 years of which were spent exclusively in the facilities management sector. Clough is a respected expert in her field and is currently working as part of the BIFM North Committee.
BIFM is the professional body for Facilities Management and its purpose is to support professionals across the world in attaining, developing and maintaining essential skills in the discipline of facilities management.
Clough is excited to start a new chapter with Coleman James, working for an independent firm with sights on being the leading recruitment partner across the construction and built environment sector.
Commenting on the role, Clough said: “I’m proud to join Coleman James as the company starts its new chapter at Hoults Yard. There’s a real buzz about the new office and I’ve joined the company at an exciting time as it goes from strength to strength.”
Mackay added: “We’re delighted to welcome Astrid on board at this exciting time for the business. She brings with her a wealth of experience in the facilities management sector and knows the industry inside out.
“There’s real demand for our services and market intelligence, and we have ambitious plans for growth. It’s set to be a positive year as we look to double our workforce and deliver a national service from our base in the North.”
The appointment follows the firm’s move to Hoults Yard in October. The company has grown rapidly since its formation in 2016, and currently expects to double its turnover to £1.6m in this financial year.
