The largest tenant at Bristol & Bath Science Park’s successful Grow on Centre is to launch a new membership scheme to extend best practice and knowledge sharing across the UK’s advanced engineering and technology sectors.

The Centre for Modelling & Simulation (CFMS), the independent, not-for-profit specialist facility for advancing engineering design capability, is launching the new service to provide companies with access to industry leaders from across the UK.

CFMS was originally formed through a £17.5m Innovate UK project led by Airbus. With this new membership scheme, taking in companies across sectors including aerospace, automotive and energy with a focus on high value design capability, it will enhance further the critical mass of knowledge-sharing and collaboration.

Membership will confer significant benefits, including access to an augmented events programme that will offer regular insights and intelligence from industry leaders.

Sam Paice, chief operating officer of CFMS, said: “The membership scheme is designed to help organisations really maximise their engagement with CFMS and make the most of the opportunities here. We’ll be increasing the number of events we organise, both featuring our own experts and those from our partners. We’re getting between 3,500 and 4,000 people through the door a year, so traffic is growing all the time.”
