The latest app development to come out of the Bristol and Bath Science Park is more than just something to please tech-heads.

Bristol BlueGreen has launched its new app to monitor electrical use by homes that have a BlueGreen Power saver installed and the app is available for a free trial.

The BlueGreen Power Saver fills a unique niche, catering for those who want to save money on bills, to have a positive impact on the environment, and to get to grips with their energy consumption.

Downloading the free app trial gives access to data from a unit installed in the UK to demonstrate the information you would get once the Power Saver is installed in a home or business.

The device uses patented technology to ensures household appliances and lighting work efficiently, use less electricity and cost less to run. Working around the clock to save electricity that would otherwise be wasted, the app tracks the home’s electrical use*, giving live and historic data, and full access to consumption and savings.

Rick Smith, Chief Executive of Bristol BlueGreen commented: “Bristol is a hub of innovation and exciting activity at the moment, so what better time to launch our app? BlueGreen champions cutting edge technology and intelligent solutions to problems, so it seemed fitting to have an app which can provide useful, interesting data to everyone with a BlueGreen device.”
