A new tech start-up called All About The Cooks has launched.

It will enable home cooks to sell their dishes to the public.

The business Founder, 57-year-old Claire Ladkin, is the Chair of Bristol Food Connections CIC and at the heart of Bristol food culture.

Claire successfully pitched the business idea to the Origin Workspace Startup programme and continues to operate from their Clifton location. To this point All About The Cooks has received over £40,000 of investment to realise the idea, which aims to provide real homecooked food for celebrations, family mealtimes, dinner parties or those keen to try freshly cooked dishes without the hassle of sourcing ingredients and cooking it themselves.

Claire Ladkin comments: “I set All About The Cooks up to make it easy for people to eat real food made by local people and I am delighted that we have launched.

“For talented home cooks, keen to share their story and passion through food, All About The Cooks offers a previously unavailable route to market whilst providing important assurances to customers who place orders.”

Cooks signed up with the platform will be supported to achieve 4 stars or above on the council’s Food Hygiene Rating scheme and are vetted by the All About the Cooks’ team before joining.
