Gloucester-based Newland Homes has been recognised as one of Britain’s best private companies with the fastest-growing profits in the Sunday Times’ BDO Profit Track 100.
This is the second time that the independent housebuilder has been recognised in this exclusive list of some of the brightest and best household names in the country and the business was ranked at number 89 nationally. However, across the businesses based in the South West, Newland Homes came at number six. The company previously made the list in 2005.
National recognition comes as Newland Homes has also announced that January to March 2019 has been the most successful quarter in their 28-year history and as the company looks towards the opening of a number of new developments across the South West. Newland Homes has built over 3,100 homes since the company began in 1991.
The Sunday Times praised Newland Homes’ strategic approach to housebuilding, which has led the company to profit growth of 58.55% and noted their reputation for well-built homes in great locations which enhance existing local communities.
Managing Director David Foreman said: “We’re very pleased to have been recognised in this year’s Sunday Times BDO Profit Track 100 and this accolade is testament to the hard work and attention to detail that every staff member in every part of the business puts in, from those identifying new sites, to our dedicated design team, our building managers and the sales team who look after each and every purchaser as if they’re one of our own family. Considering we’re one of the smallest companies on the list, every person plays a large part in the success of Newland Homes.
“Newland Homes is a very determined and ambitious company and we pride ourselves on our commercial, technical and design flair, that combined with consultation and commitment can make developments work where other housebuilders would walk away. We currently have three such sites in Chipping Sodbury, Frome and Cheltenham that have ultimately proven to be some of our most exciting and impressive projects due to their design and how we have worked with the community and stakeholders to deliver homes that meet immediate housing needs, as well as bringing positive change to the wider community.”
