A pioneering new business inspired college in Weston-super-Mare has added two new faces to its key team.

The new North Somerset Enterprise and Technology College (NSETC) has appointed two Deputy Principals as it gears up for launch this September.

Andy Davidson, 49, and Chris Lee, 35, will be assisting Principal Tony Wilson in the run-up to the launch of the 14-19 college.

NSETC opens to a Year 12 cohort at Weston College’s South West Skills Campus in Locking Road before transferring to a purpose-built site in 2015 and welcoming Year 10s.

Chris is already well-known in North Somerset, as he is the Strategic Lead for Science, Technology and Maths (STEM) at Weston College.

Prior to this he was Head of Science at Redknock School in Dursley.

Andy Davidson is currently the Head of North Dorset Technical College.

Andy has a background in engineering, which is a subject that will be a key focus for the College.

Tony Wilson, who is the Principal, comments: “Both Andy and Chris are incredibly committed to realizing the vision that we have for NSETC as we prepare for the landmark opening of the college in September.”

The new appointments coincide with an NSETC Open Evening at one of the academies sponsors the NHS Bristol Trust, Southmead Hospital, Bristol, on Wednesday April 2 between 6pm-7.30pm.
