New restaurant and pub taking shape
The construction of a new pub and restaurant, at a business park in Weston-super-Mare, is progressing fast.
Groundworks have been completed for the Hungry Horse pub, which is at Weston Gateway Business Park (WGBP), and the exterior walls of the new pub are now being built.
The Hungry Horse chain is owned by Greene King Brewing and Retailing Limited.
According to Gemma Hughes Director of Dowlas, the developer behind the construction, the new pub will offer a welcome addition to the business park.
Gemma comments: “The completed pub looks out onto the A370 and is in a prime location to pull in passing trade from visitors to the seaside resort of Weston-super- Mare.
“To capitalise on passing trade, Dowlas were asked to provide visitors with a large car park including three coach parking bays to cater for coach trips.
“Of all the Hungry Horse pubs throughout the UK this is the first to feature a coach parking bay helping to make this an accessible welcome retreat to travellers and visitors to Weston-super-Mare.”
The pub is expected to open for business in February 2014, with 40 full and part time jobs being created as a result.
