Revolut secures £63m investment from US-based private equity firm TSG Consumer Partners

International digital payments and banking app Revolut has secured a £63m investment from US-based private equity firm TSG Consumer Partners.

The ‘unicorn’ business’ (valued at more than $1bn) will see its valuation increase to more than £4.3bn.

TSG are a prominent backer of tech-focused start-ups that have risen to global prominence – including Netflix, Airbnb and Spotify.

Founded by Nik Storonsky, Revolut has grown to have more than 2,000 employees and more than 12 million customers in well over 30 countries – in less than five years.
