Royal visit for Headmaster

Iain Kilpatrick - Headaster of Sidcot School

Iain Kilpatrick

Sidcot School’s Headmaster was invited to St James’s Palace in London to be presented with an official licence to directly deliver Duke of Edinburgh training.

Iain Kilpatrick received a certificate from His Royal Highness the Earl of Wessex, Prince Edward, at an award ceremony for those who have achieved the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award.

Mr Kilpatrick comments: “I felt very honoured to receive the certificate on behalf of the school.

“The real credit goes to Jim Scott and his team of staff who run the programme at Sidcot and, of course, our students who are taking Bronze and Silver on their way to Gold.

“The Duke of Edinburgh Award says a lot about its recipient: their determination, commitment, skills and desire to contribute to society which is in keeping with our Quaker ethos.”
