Bristol-based Resource Solutions Group (RSG), has leapt nearly 150 places in three years in the Sunday Times Grant Thornton Top Track 250 League Table to rank at number 33.
RSG, which is the group company for recruiter brands such as Sanderson and Resource Management, moved from 182 in in Sunday Times Top Track list in 2015 and last year the company was placed at number 79.
The company, one of the UK’s largest independent recruiters, has grown by more than £130m in turnover in the past year to £426m – a record in the company’s history. Significant client wins, increased capacity, and regional expansion in the UK and Ireland to 11 offices have been named as the main factors for its success.
Mike Beesley, CEO of RSG, said: “This ranking is a great credit to the incredible hard work and focus shown throughout the company at a time of significant growth both in terms of clients and geography. We’ve been around for some time, having been formed as we are today in 1982 and with a recruitment history stretching back to 1975.
“So, our experience and track record speak for itself. However, companies should strive to evolve and adapt to new business conditions or practices and, where possible, innovate within the sector to gain market share. RSG has achieved this on all counts and the financial growth associated with this is clear to see in our numbers.”
The company has also launched a major corporate social responsibility programme to give back to the community, with The Prince’s Trust, their chosen charity, at the heart of this strategy.
Jon Ball, managing director of RSG, said: “This is a remarkable achievement that is testimony to the teams on the ground and their ability to not only deliver high performance but also really build relationships and put people at the heart of everything we do.”
Tim Lincoln, partner at Grant Thornton UK LLP, the title sponsor of the league table, said: “If we are to continue turning innovative ideas into businesses with international scale, we all need to play our part in shaping a vibrant economy that thrives. In this, the role of the mid-market is crucial. We are delighted for RSG as they continue to go from strength-to-strength.”
