Ryan Howsam invests in travel business Holibob despite industry woes

British entrepreneur Ryan Howsom – who is the founder of travel insurer Staysure – has taken a minority equity stake in Holibob.

Holibob is an aggregator for global travel tours and experiences within a traditionally fragmented B2B sector.

Ryan Howsam, founder and Chairman of Staysure and Ryan Howsam Ltd, comments: “Tours is one of the fastest growing segments in travel, but it’s very fragmented and there’s no central Global Distribution System. Holibob will change that fast and as a part of the deal I have found a way to add value to my own customers – offering tours and excursions and with preferential rates.

“Craig and Angus, Holibob founders, are two very impressive young entrepreneurs who have a unique opportunity to become the global GDS for tours which fits perfectly with a stable of travel related businesses I operate and have invested in. The travel industry like many has been hard hit by the Covid-19 pandemic, but now needs to adapt and develop solutions for the long term.”
