Newcastle-based Samuel Knight International has announced plans to open a new office in Baghdad. This follows the recent announcement of investment by Gresham House Ventures and comes as part of the company’s five-year plan for aggressive growth.
Samuel Knight International is a global recruitment and project man-power specialist which focuses on the rail and energy sectors. It was founded in 2014 and has offices across Newcastle, London and Bristol.
Samuel Knight’s Iraq Country Manager, Haider Kadhim, will be the point of contact for clients and candidates in the city. The new office will help to ensure the company’s abidance by compliance laws in Iraq.
Steve Rawlingson, CEO at Samuel Knight said: “Our aggressive five-year growth plan is manifesting at such an impressive rate, taking the company to exciting new territories. The team is working diligently to surpass expectations set out in the plan and ensure Samuel Knight is cemented as the leading global energy and rail recruitment specialist.
“Our Baghdad office will give us a distinctive edge over our competition and allow for more exciting business opportunities. Once the office becomes more established and client acquisition develops, we will certainly be adding more consultants and manpower in the city.”
In 2018, Samuel Knight International recorded a turnover of £13m and secured new client contracts in over 30 countries.
