A senior developer at bespoke software consultancy Scott Logic is one of the first to be confirmed among the speakers at a leading technology conference.

Sam Hogarth was the first confirmed speaker for Bristech 2016, which this year will take place at The Watershed in Bristol on November 3rd.

Sam, who is based at Scott Logic’s Newcastle office, will be among 18 speakers from around the country presenting on an array of technology topics to hundreds of polyglot developers, innovators and other tech curious individuals across three streams on the day.

He said: “My talk aims to be a gentle introduction to Redux development, and where I’ve encountered pitfalls and tips as I’ve built my own application. I’m really looking forward to presenting at a wonderfully vibrant conference.”

Evolving from the success of the regular Bristech Meetup group, which was founded with support from Scott Logic in 2013, the inaugural Bristech conference was held last October, and was so popular that early bird tickets for this year’s event have already sold out.

Co-founder Nic Hemley, who is also Head of Development at Scott Logic’s Bristol Development Centre said: “We’re aiming for 400 attendees to join us this year, and, as ever, it all boils down to the quality of the speakers and the relevance of their topics to our audience, so we’re thrilled to have Sam on board to share his knowledge of Redux.

“We’ve worked hard to ensure a diverse mix of speakers so there’s something for everyone who has an interest in technology.”
