Search is on for the South West’s best Business Leaders
Businesses are being urged to enter one of the region’s top award schemes recognising excellence and enterprise.
The Institute of Directors’ South West Director of the Year Awards 2015 seek to recognise outstanding business people and focus UK-wide attention on success in the region.
Award nominations are open to anyone working at director level in any type of business or organisation – they don’t have to be an IoD member.
Categories include: Family Business, Public Sector, Not for Profit/Third Sector, International, Non Executive, Corporate Responsibility and Director.
This final award category is open to any size of company, small, medium or large.
A panel of experts will judge the entries and the winners will be announced at a dinner later in the year.
Last year Chris Smith, managing director Marshfield Bakery, in Bath, was named overall regional Director of the Year.
Other winners included Nick Sturge, who runs Bristol’s Engine Shed, Henry Williams, Williams Automobiles and Steve Clarke of ecosurety.
IoD South West chairman Richard Ayre comments: “ We had a very high standard of entry last year, reflecting the diverse and successful business landscape across the region.
“These awards are designed to recognise and celebrate the role of business leaders and their contribution to the economy of the South West, whether they be working in the public or private sector. So if you know an outstanding individual, or indeed want to nominate yourself, please let us know.”
South West winners automatically qualify to go forward to the UK Director Awards in London in the autumn.
The entry form and more details are available by calling 0117 3707785, by emailing, firstname.lastname@example.org or by going online www.iod.com/connecting/local-network/south-west.
Entry deadline, March 31st.
