Senior appointment at Somerset firm

Somerset based accountants and financial planners Old Mill have appointed a new head of tax.

Elaine Kinsella started her career at price Waterhouse in 1988 where she trained as a chartered accountant and chartered tax adviser, before moving onto KPMG and Capital One Bank.

Most recently, she was tax partner at Milstead Langton where she worked closely with owner managed businesses.

Elaine comments: “When I met the people at Old Mill, they blew me away; it’s clearly a firm that is full of talent but not only that, they have the leadership to know where they are going.

“The client list is also very impressive; the south west is home to some established and successful business as well as some inspiring entrepreneurs. The sky is the limit for Old Mill and I wanted to be part of that.

Old Mill spokesman Bruce Lockhart comments:“Elaine has extensive knowledge of owner managed businesses and corporate international tax, so her expertise here will greatly compliment our tax offering and as a successful mum of three, she is a great example to our younger staff.”
