Peckham-based snack brand Serious Pig has hit its crowdfunding target of £350,000 and will now “overfund” in order to raise more capital.

Funds have been earmarked to accelerate growth over the next three years. This will include the introduction of new products and a campaign to broaden Serious Pig’s consumer market across the UK and beyond.

Founder George Rice has extended the Crowdcube campaign until 7th April.

George Rice, Founder and MD at Serious Pig said: “I can’t thank each and every investor enough for their support. Your investments are going to allow us to compete with the major snack brands in the UK. It’ll allow us to grow our Sales and Marketing team to really accelerate our growth so we can reach every corner of the UK where there’s a retailer that cares about offering great taste and quality.”
