After mixing it on set with the likes of Daniel Craig you may be forgiven for thinking that a career in the movies beckoned.

But James Gardiner has instead put his career as a film and TV extra on hold to join fast-growing Bristol based Waste Source.

Alongside working as an extra, James also spent a year working for Bidvest Logistics; and joins Waste Source as a Customer Account Executive. He also hold a degree in Creative Writing and Drama from UWE.

Joining James in the firm’s latest recruitment drive is Matt Whittleton. A self-confessed adrenalin junkie and extreme sports enthusiast, Matt is joining from university where he graduated with a degree in Drama from Liverpool John Moores.

The double appointment brings the total number of staff to nine and this year the business also posted record trading figures; and is projected to hit a record turnover of £2.4m by its financial year end in November.

Chris Holland, managing director at Waste Source, comments: “James and Matt both have a great work ethic and positive can do attitude. They’re already making a positive impact to the business and I’m certain they will develop into key members of the team.

“These two appointments mark the start of a big recruitment drive here at Waste Source; as we continue to grow month on month; winning new clients across various sectors and locations.”

James comments: “Starring in Skyfall is a claim to fame and it was great fun. Hopefully I can use the people skills I learnt on set to benefit Waste Source. It’s a great company with a positive culture.”

Matt comments: “Finding employment after graduation can be hard so I’m delighted to have joined this company. The future looks very bright for the business and I’m proud to be involved.”

Waste Source counts companies such as Turtle Bay, Boston Tea Party and Oak Furniture Land as clients and manage of all of their waste processes in an ethical and transparent way.

Its mission statement is to make waste disposal a simpler, cheaper and more effective process for businesses of any size, especially those that operate across multiple locations.
