British retail and commercial bank, Shawbrook Bank has been announced as the latest category sponsor for this year’s South West Business Leader Awards 2019.

Founded in 2011, Shawbrook offers loans to small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) who are unable to obtain finance from the main high street banks.

By the end of 2017, the bank had a total lending figure of £4.9bn and had raised over £4.4bn in customer deposits.

Shawbrook will be sponsoring the Commercial Property Award for #BLA19.

This award is open to agents, developers, professionals, investors or clients who completed a major commercial property deal or project in the South West.

Entries are also open to new-build, refurbishment and regeneration projects that are of particular significance.

The independent panel of judges will be looking for either a landmark commercial occupancy deals; a major office, industrial, retail or other commercial new-build or refurbishment project; or, an innovative regeneration scheme for commercial or business use.
