Solihull Moors renews partnership with Living Well UK for second season

Solihull Moors Football Club has announced that it will enter a second season of partnership with mental health consortium charity, Living Well UK, which will continue to see the pair work together to improve wellbeing in the town. With a goal to continue to get everyone – from the fans to the first team – feeling empowered to think about their mental health.

The deal will see Living Well UK continue as official shirt sponsors for the upcoming season; however, beyond the pitch, the charity will continue to work with players, coaches, and spectators on a series of wellbeing-enhancing programmes and initiatives.

The first year of the partnership saw Living Well UK work with the Moors to implement several initiatives, from The Big Walk and The Winter Wellness Walk, in which they played a vital role in raising funds for mental health services.

Living Well UK provides free mental health support to people living in Solihull and Birmingham, promoting wellbeing from an individual and community perspective to help find practical solutions to life’s challenges. These include online stress and anxiety courses, counselling and self-help, creative therapies, and CBT, as well as a virtual therapy room with free video content ranging from yoga and low-intensity pilates to anger management and meditation.

Commenting on the continued partnership, Solihull Moors Chairman, Darryl Eales said: “It is a real pleasure to have the backing of Living Well for the forthcoming season and their continued commitment to Moors really is heartening.

“The sporting industry can be a high-pressured environment, with few people being able to be open about their mental health state and emotional wellbeing. In line with our community values, we want to raise awareness on the services that are available and that no one is alone.”

Ben Howells, CEO of Living Well UK, said: “I am delighted to see our sponsorship with Solihull Moors will continue to the next season. Their values and dedication to the community align with Living Well perfectly.

“We’re working hard with the club to have a presence and really make a difference to the people living in Solihull and Birmingham. Our first year of partnership saw us work together on some great projects that raised funds to help us provide further support in the area, this is just the beginning and we look forward to seeing what the new season has in store!”
