Somerset man honoured by the Queen for his services to charity
A Somerset man has seen the time and effort he puts in to raise money for charity recognised by Her Majesty the Queen
Nigel Muers-Raby, who is Head of Marketing for law firm Pardoes visited Buckingham Palace for a garden party.
Nigel, who was accompanied by his wife Finny, was honoured for his services to ABF the Soldiers’ Charity and the Somerset Military Tattoo.
Nigel comments: “I am honoured and thrilled to have been invited and also for the work of ABF the Soldiers’ charity and the Somerset Military Tattoo to be mentioned.
“This charity raises tens of thousands each year for those in desperate need, and there are many dedicated volunteers.
“Our whole aim has been to raise awareness of the work that the charity does to support serving and retired soldiers and their families.
“More and more Army families are turning to them for assistance and the charity continually needs to raise funds in order to help them.”
The next Military Tattoo is billed a family event for the whole County and will be held on 6th September on Taunton Racecourse.
