Space Recruitment Company Open Manchester Office
Space recruitment company EVONA has opened a second UK location in Spinningfields, Manchester.
Entering its fourth year of trading, EVONA recruits for the space sector. From placing engineering, to tech, business operations and the odd astronaut – they headhunt to help space companies evolve. The company’s mission is to raise the curtain on the space sector so everyone, regardless of background, qualifications or skills can discover their role in space.
Having doubled its workforce every year since its inception in 2018, this year the company plans to grow to 100 by Q4. At 60 heads, the company’s growth has been fuelled by a successful first few years in business; building out a contract function and supporting the growing permanent division. Reporting a 610% increase in year-over-year revenue, the new office will help support this expansion strategy.
Director of Contract, Ben Carrigan, comments: “This is a key strategic move for EVONA to develop the team and provide a second UK location. It will provide the HQ for EVONA’s Contract function, but also provide a new base for those who wish to move to the city from our Bristol home. With staff all over the UK and eventually globally, this second location will allow us to tap into new markets and attract new talent to our growing company.”
The new Manchester office will accommodate up to 10 new members of staff in Spinningfields and provide a second hub in addition to Bristol for remote staff all over the UK. It’s the perfect time in the perfect location as they look to expand services to deliver to a growing global client base.
Co-Founder Ryan Hill, said: “We’re incredibly excited for this next step in EVONA’s journey. Having been recognised last year by Lloyds Bank as the New Business of the Year, we’ve continued on the trajectory to deliver on the lofty ambitions we set out in 2018. As we grow rapidly it makes sense to expand to a second location in the UK in addition to our plans to expand into the US as we announced last year.”
He continues: “It’s our philosophy to allow any staff to work wherever best suits them with unlimited remote working, but we know for some you can’t replicate the workplace environment, and it’s important we understand how best to serve the needs of our crew. We’re hopeful this move will open us up to more recruitment professionals in the north of the UK and it’s a huge step forward for our expansion plans.”
