Attended by over 800 women, Women Outside the Box (WOTB), the South West’s annual festival for female entrepreneurs was this year headlined by Julie Meyer MBE, of Entrepreneur Country.
The theme of this year’s festival was She Who Dares.
WOTB is designed to encourage and inspire women to trust their instincts, take a risk, and think big when it comes to their business ambitions.
Joni Farthing, Festival Director, comments: “The festival itself was a fantastic opportunity for women to get together to talk about their businesses, share their ideas, voice their concerns and promote their ambitions.
“Our legacy is to help continue that conversation, giving women the opportunity to come together for support and training on a regular basis.
“With this in mind we’ve decided to launch a monthly WOTB Business Club.
“Our aim is to capture the excitement, buzz and supportive atmosphere of the festival in another format which gives on-going support to women.”
The Women Outside The Box business club, already has 30 founder members and meets at Smith & Williamson on the first Tuesday morning of every month.
The Business Club has attracted women business owners and managers and other female professionals from a wide range of backgrounds and sectors.
As well as the chance to take part in topical group discussions and share ideas, the monthly meetings include a high calibre guest speaker who provides training and insights in to a core area of interest to the group.
