Local home improvement specialists SEH BAC have completed a hat-trick of awards from the National Home Improvement Council (NHIC), by winning this year’s Community Benefit Award for their transformation of the West Cliff Theatre in Clacton-on-Sea.

The award recognises SEH BAC’s work to renovate the theatre as part of their Community Giveaway competition.

The firm, which specialises in windows, doors and conservatories rewarded winners West Cliff with £10,000 worth of replacement windows, providing a deserving face-lift for the beloved theatre.

John Savage, Managing Director of SEH BAC commented: “We are so proud to win this prestigious award from the NHIC – our third in four years.

“The aim of our Community Giveaway was to give a special community building the help it needed and West Cliff was a truly worthy winner. We are so proud to help give West Cliff the new lease of life it deserves, so to receive such a special award for this is a real honour.”

SEH BAC who are part of Suffolk-based One Group Construction, a specialist group of nationwide companies that complete major construction projects, has also won the NHIC’s Best Glazing Project Award in 2014 and the 2015 Double Glazing with Community Benefit Award.

The home improvement firm which is celebrating 45 years of trading across the region encouraged its customers to nominate their favourite community buildings that desperately needed SEH BAC’s expertise.

Hundreds of entries were reviewed before the West Cliff Theatre was named the winner. Mainly run by donations and volunteers, the theatre wasn’t able to fund the necessary improvements, which would ensure its future and help to reduce its running costs.

John continued: “At SEH BAC we have always been committed to making a difference through our home improvement range, whether that’s a homeowner looking to create their dream home or by using our skills to help within the many communities we operate.

“That’s why we have 16 showcentres across the South-East, East Anglia and the Home Counties so homeowners can see everything that is available to them, and we create competitions and outreach opportunities, so we can best support our local community.”

As well as windows, doors and conservatories, SEH BAC also specialises in luxury orangeries, replacement conservatory roofs and single-storey extensions.

The firm has also received recognition from their industry peers, through a record four nominations at the glazing industry’s G Awards 2017. Nominations include the prestigious Installer and Conservatory Installer of the Year awards.
