talent.io, a selective recruitment service for software engineers, today announced that Deliveroo is using its services to hire software engineers from the UK and Europe.

Deliveroo, one of the UK’s tech unicorns, works with over 80,000 restaurants and takeaways, and 60,000 riders around the world to provide the best food delivery experience in the world. Cutting the average waiting time for customers by 20% using its world-leading proprietary technology, the Frank algorithm.

Deliveroo is headquartered in London and operates in over 500 towns and cities across 13 markets. The company has ambitious growth plans and forecasts to grow its tech team to 600 in the next two years, hiring the best talent in the tech industry from around the world.

Dave Richardson, Head of Technology Recruitment, Deliveroo said: “Deliveroo is a dynamic and innovative brand, and the technology that we are working with and developing is exciting and unique. However, we want to work with the best in the world and in a very competitive market it is challenging to find high calibre software engineers, particularly at the scale and speed we are growing.

“My objective is to build a world class tech team in London for Deliveroo, and the solution from talent.io has enabled us to find the calibre of candidates we are looking for. One of the major benefits from the talent.io solution is that they vet the candidates, so we know we have access to the best talent in the industry, and they are all available immediately.

“We have grown the recruitment team and want to provide the team with the tools to enable them to hire the best candidates quickly to keep up to speed with the pace of growth. The solution from talent.io is already proving to be a success. We have only been on the platform a few weeks and already we have conducted interviews with candidates and put out an offer.”
