The Naked Collective has announced that both their Mude and So.Beer ranges will launch into 100 WH Smith stores from June and an additional 700 natural and health stores from May.

The listing announcement coincides with a significant milestone for the start-up, as they also confirm that £1.3m in funding.

It has also been announced that the business’ Mude range have landed a spot at this year’s Oscars, and will form part of the ‘Goodie Bags’ gifted to all nominees.

The goodie bags have become an important part of the event with brands vying with each other to be included. The estimated value of the goodies given to Oscar nominees last year was $225,000 with gifts including a $78,000 cruise.

The growth has been borne out of an explosion in retail distribution; over 1,000 stockists in Ireland as well as securing distribution with Canada’s second largest retail chain Sobeys, bringing the total number of stores there to over 600.

In Italy, the team has secured new Hypermarket chains and they have just begun the rollout into almost 400 stores in the metro New York region. Added to that, The Naked Collective has been chosen by Amazon to be part of their Launchpad project which shines a spotlight on brands that offer something a little different.

“The momentum over the past few months has been phenomenal,” says Co-Founder, Niall Phelan.
