The Neville Coles column – opportunities and big dreams

Neville Coles

In his latest column for the Weston & North Somerset Echo, Priory Community School’s Principal Neville Coles discusses opportunities and big dreams.

It is often said that schooldays are the best days of your life. For some that may be true.

At Priory Community School – An Academy Trust we aim to help students enjoy every day and also provide a launchpad for a life of their dreams.

To to this we provide a stimulating curriculum with a mix of high-productivity lessons, brilliant sporting possibilities and a range of other subjects such as Mandarin Chinese and Surfboard-making.

And that’s just what school should be all about – opportunities and big dreams.

We encourage all students to aim for the best, work hard, believe all things are possible and to dream big, wild dreams for their lives.

This year, in the build up to the Olympic Games, two of our students, Tom Easterby in Year 10 and Jack Howard in Year 7, have had the awesome privilege of carrying the Olympic Torch on the way to London.

They will never forget that moment. Neither will we.

We have recently learned that ex-PCSA student Joseph Clibbert is now styling the hair of the rich and famous in New Zealand, after being given the opportunity while at PCSA.

Before going on work experience he dreamed of being the next David Beckham but at aged 24 he has found his ‘thing’ and is living the dream.

This month we released our new school brochure and DVD ‘Dare to Dream’. You can pick up a copy from our reception or click onto our website.

Enjoy your summer.
