Homecooked UK

A new app is set to provide a healthy option in food delivery.

Homecooked UK is aimed at professionals, students and young families with limited time but who are conscious of the health risks of too many takeaways. The app provides customers an alternative to Just Eat and Deliveroo by allowing customers to select a variety of freshly prepared dishes which are made in the kitchens of local people.

Anestis Gaitanidis and Dimitris Samaras founded the business out of a mutual frustration when they struggled to find authentic tasting deliverable food which was nutritious and affordable.

Anestis from Homecooked UK said: Homecooked UK allows budding chefs to make and sell their food from their home, without the overheads associated with running a restaurant. It is also a fantastic way for cooking enthusiasts to make money from their love of cooking.

“We have many people who are fantastic cooks but only ever make food for their family or friends, so they can now share their passion for cooking and make or supplement an income from creating authentic home-cooked food”.

At present Homecooked UK is available in Liverpool and selected areas of London, but the start-up has plans for future expansion.
