Thomas International strengthens senior team

Greet Brosens

Thomas International, a provider of people assessment tools, has created three new senior positions to support the delivery of its accelerated growth plan, with the goal of reaching £250 million international turnover by 2021.

The new Chief Product Officer, Chief Sales Officer and Corporate Development Director will lead the restructured, globally aligned product and sales teams, and the newly introduced business development group.

The product group will be led by Aly Bowman, who joined Thomas International in 2017.  With its focus firmly on developing and delivering the best tools and solutions for customers, the group will bring together the global product research and development, psychology, training and marketing teams.

Greet Brosens, who previously held the position of International Managing Director at Thomas, will head up the now fully integrated global sales group, including the company’s wholly owned and indirect distributors.  By bringing together the international sales functions, the business will ensure its sales processes are aligned and the business is agile and quick to react to changing market needs.

The newly created business development group will focus on growing the company through business process improvements, mergers and acquisitions.  The recruitment process to appoint the group head is underway.

The strengthening of the senior team follows the multi-million pound investment made by Palamon Capital Partners who acquired a majority stake in the business earlier this year.

While finalising the investment, Palamon described Thomas International as a unique business, with a tremendous digital product, extremely well positioned to benefit from the growing focus of SMEs on reducing staff recruitment and retention costs by making better hiring decisions, improving talent development, boosting staff engagement and increasing employee retention.

Amir Qureshi, CEO of Thomas International, said: “These changes to our senior leadership team are the first steps in building an organisational structure that will support our strategic ambitions to deliver accelerated growth across the business.

“Having already grown strongly over the last few years around the world, I believe there is still a significant untapped market for our core products which we are now perfectly positioned to capitalise upon.  With the support of the Palamon team, including Fergus Brownlee, our new Chairman, we aim to take this business to new heights.”
