Thrings strengthens firm-wide Private Client team with appointment in Romsey office

Law firm Thrings has appointed residential property specialist Sue Cornall as legal director in its Romsey office, further strengthening its firm-wide Private Client team.
Sue, who joins from Blake Morgan, has worked for more than 25 years in all aspects of residential property law. She is a fellow of the Agricultural Law Association.
She becomes part of the firm’s Private Client practice, which alongside conveyancing and family law, specialises in sophisticated tax and succession planning and structures for entrepreneurs, business owners and landowners.
She said: “I am very pleased to be joining the team in Romsey, which has a strong reputation in Private Client practice in the region. There is significant crossover between conveyancing and the wider wealth-preserving work we do in the firm, so I am looking forward to contributing my experience of property matters to the Thrings team, with a focus on building lasting relationships with our clients.”
Sue’s appointment is one of a number of key hires by Thrings. Private client, succession and tax specialist Douglas Smith recently joined the firm as a partner in the Romsey office, while Penelope Munro, a senior private client lawyer, has been appointed to further strengthen technical expertise in the South West.
Fiona Kellow, head of the Private Client department at Thrings, said: “We welcome Sue to the team in Romsey, where she will play a key role in helping to deliver exceptional solutions and service to our clients. Her appointment, along with others recently made across Thrings’ offices, supports our position as a leading firm for private client matters in the south of England.”
