Molson is one of the largest suppliers of Korean and Japanese built excavators in Europe and Hyundai’s biggest dealer in Europe. It is a regional and UK success story, having grown into a £124.2 million turnover business since it was founded in Yatton, North Somerset in 1996.
The team at TLT was led by John Wood, partner and head of corporate, alongside corporate associate Adam Kean, employment legal director Harry Parker, real estate associate Ed Pitt, tax legal director Mark Braude and corporate trainee solicitor Aziz Dean. TLT recently won three awards at the South West Dealmakers Awards including the prestigious ‘Corporate Law Firm of the Year’ award.
Jason Powles, financial director at Molson Group, said: “Finlay shares our deep commitment to offering clients the best possible products, solutions and service, and we are delighted to be welcoming such a talented team into the Molson brand. This was a significant acquisition for us in terms of its importance and scale. TLT gave us excellent advice and handled the deal well, anticipating our needs and responding quickly to keep everything on track.”
John Wood, partner and head of corporate at TLT, said: “It is great to see a South West founded business like Molson Group going from strength to strength. Molson has an impressive growth story and several major accolades to its name, which puts it in a great position to grow both organically and through acquisition. We are delighted to have worked with Jason and the rest of the team on this next stage in their journey.”
