Tortilla set to open four new restaurants this summer

The UK and Europe’s largest fast-casual Mexican restaurant group Tortilla is set to open four new restaurants across the UK this summer.

Openings on Wardour St in Soho London, Cabot Circus in Bristol, Cornmarket in Oxford, and Market Square in Cambridge, bring the group’s total estate to 49 restaurants. These follow three recent openings in Southwark London and Marina Mall and Mall of the Emirates in Dubai.

Managing Director Richard Morris said: “We have been cautious over the last 18 months with our openings programme. The issues we have seen in the sector would suggest that was a sensible strategy. We are now however delighted to have such phenomenal locations opening this year, allowing us to really put our foot down again, whilst continuing to grow sales in our existing estate.”

The new restaurants range from 80-100 cover sites in Oxford and Cambridge, with a separate line for the delivery market, a Shopping Centre restaurant in Bristol, and the fourth ‘Baby Tortilla’ site in Soho.

In addition, Tortilla is also refurbishing its location in Westfield London as part of the shopping centre’s new food court. This site is due to re-open in September.
