A touch of Leicester Square will come Weston-super-Mare on Friday when VIPs, ‘The Press’, and 150 selected guests will attend the world premiere of the new Weston film, Obscurity.
Fourteen-year-old Priory Community School student producers Matt Filer and George Grant have made the 40-minute film with 10 colleagues, with proceeds going to Weston Hospice.
On Friday selected students, parents, staff and VIPs including members of The Press will attend the Premiere, with the red carpet rolled out, drinks and backstage conversations.
The film will explore what life can be like for teenagers if they get involved in the wrong groups or gangs, and has been given a ’12’ rating.
George, who hopes to follow in the footsteps of Steven Spielberg, said: “We are all so excited at the event.
“We would like it to be seen by people all across the world, and it will also be wonderful to raise money for such a worthy cause.”
The film is being produced by Matt’s own production enterprise www.mattfilerfilms.co.uk which he uses to create promotional media for companies, organisations and charities in Weston super Mare.
