Thomas Westcott Chartered Accountants has promoted three of its team members to the role of Director. Kelly Davies, Alan Sanders and Robyn Jennings all originally trained and qualified with the fast-growing South West accountancy firm.

Kelly Davies joined Thomas Westcott in 2012 and is based in the firm’s Bridgwater and Somerton offices. She manages a wide spectrum of client activity, from personal tax cases and sole traders to partnerships and corporate entities, helping them to achieve their goals.

Audit and assurance specialist Alan Sanders qualified with Thomas Westcott before moving to a top 10 accountancy firm. Since his return to Thomas Westcott’s Exeter office, Alan has advised a variety of charities, owner-managed businesses and multi-national companies on issues including financial reporting and compliance. Bringing together technical knowledge and experience of advising a diverse mix of organisations, he focuses on training and preparing clients for adopting best practice approaches that help to reduce costs and mitigate against the risks of fraud and error.

Robyn Jennings is based in Axminster and manages a varied portfolio including sole traders, partnerships and large corporates, as well as not-for-profit and personal tax clients. Robyn has an in-depth technical knowledge of the requirements affecting both corporates and charities and also carries out audits for Thomas Westcott clients.

With 28 partners and more than 250 staff operating from 17 branches, Thomas Westcott has the largest network of accountancy offices in the region.

Managing Partner Shona Godefroy said: “Congratulations to Robyn, Kelly and Alan on being made Directors of Thomas Westcott. While these are challenging times for all businesses, it is important for us to continue to recognise and reward the contributions made by our fantastic teams. These three promotions are based on merit and our continued review of our succession and growth plans across the firm.

“It is particularly rewarding to see how our three new Directors, who trained and qualified with Thomas Westcott, have progressed during their careers. As a large regional firm, we are committed to providing our trainees with the opportunity to gain experience in a diverse mix of sectors and to nurturing young talent. Many of them, like Robyn, Alan and Kelly, choose to stay with us and continue their accountancy careers with Thomas Westcott.”
