Triodos Bank UK has today announced that it has experienced overall customer numbers growing by 14% in the past year to more than 61,000.
Customer deposits increased to £1,156m (2018: £1,073m) and the total UK loan book grew to £976m – an increase of 12% on 2018.
Meanwhile, Triodos Bank UK became a new subsidiary company on May 1 2019, effectively equipping the bank for the future regardless of conclusions to the Brexit process.
Bevis Watts, CEO of Triodos Bank UK, said: “As in recent years, we have seen strong growth in new customers with many drawn to our unique proposition. Our personal current account offers an inspiring option for those who want to align their banking with their values.
“We were one of only six banks consistently experiencing net gains from the UK Current Account Switch Service in the year. We worked hard to ensure a smooth transition to our new legal structure as a subsidiary company and avoided disruption to customers as a result of Brexit. Now we are set to head into our 25th year of operating in the UK and can be proud of the finance we provide to many inspiring organisations across the country.”
