Savills Scotland has bolstered its Development team with two key appointments.
The two new starters will take up roles in its residential investment and private rented sector (PRS) team.
George Hepburn Scott has joined the team as a director to advise on residential investment and PRS transactions across Scotland.
Richard Thompson joins the Scottish Development team as a Director from Savills Rural, Energy and Projects division where he accumulated 30 years’ experience.
Ben Brough, Savills Head of Residential Development in Scotland, comments: “Edinburgh is rapidly expanding on a number of fronts: from the gentrification of the East End to residential developments that are pushing the current city limits outwards.
“Meanwhile Glasgow is seeing an incredible resurgence with national and international interest across a wide spectrum of development opportunities, from purely residential, to mixed-use and a growing number have a PRS element.
“In George we have a real specialist in what is becoming an increasingly important part of urban development and a market we anticipate to see significant growth across Scotland.
“The national housing shortage, together with upcoming changes in the Scottish Planning system, make Richard’s appointment key to ensuring Savills continues to lead the market in sourcing and delivering strategic land.”
