Two new Lidl stores have been completed in Loughborough and Droitwich Spa.
The stores are the fourth and fifth projects built for Lidl by construction partner, Stepnell. The contractor has previously built stores for the company in Birmingham, Oakham and Bedford.
The new stores are valued at £6m and have created up to 40 jobs.
Designed by John Roberts Architects, the supermarkets feature full-height glazed façade and a modern interior, as well as on-site bakeries, management offices and welfare facilities for store employees.
The Loughborough site has been built on a brownfield area previously occupied by the former Charnwood Forest Railway building and covers 2,460 sq m of space overall.
The Droitwich Spa store sits on the Droitwich Spa Retail Park and was built in a 30-week period over the winter.
