For those lucky enough to have a good head of hair, the ‘lockdown’ has brought its own ‘challenges’.

This is something that Kevin Goodall – Relationship Manager at Allied Irish Bank (AIB); and Dominic James – Assistant Relationship Manager at Allied Irish Bank (AIB) – know only too well and fed up with their hair growing wild, the pair decided to shave it off for charity.

The pair raised 2,300 euros in total for the charity challenge and their employers Allied Irish Bank (AIB) said they will match-fund the money raised by Kevin and Dominic, bringing the grand total to 4,600 euros.

The money will go to the Allied Irish Bank Together Fund – which is helping communities and organisations affected by Covid-19.

In total, the fund has raised 90,370 euros and counting.

Kevin comments: “The bank has traditionally been very focused on raising money for charity and during this Covid-19 pandemic we’ve only looked to double that effort. Thank you to everybody that donated and Dom and I will now be waiting for our hair to grow back before we see the outside world!.”
