One of the South West’s longest established public relations agencies is expanding by joining forces with a smaller Bristol-based agency.
Empica, with its roots going back to 1989, has merged with Inform Media from the beginning of April with Inform’s Neil Fraser joining Empica to head up its business to business offering.
Empica, which moved into bigger offices in Wraxall, North Somerset last September is owned by Managing Director Martin Powell and serves a wide range of clients throughout the UK.
Neil Fraser, who is an experienced journalist and PR professional, founded Inform Media seven years ago, serving primarily business to business clients.
Martin Powell said: “A good number of excellent smaller PR agencies have been launched in recent years in the Bristol area and Inform Media is one of them. We have known Neil for many years and have been impressed with his work.
“We are building a truly full-service agency and merging with Neil’s business is part of that process as it gives us access to his unrivalled B2B expertise. We already have a strong team of experienced professionals and it is fantastic to add Neil to that mix.”
Neil Fraser commented: “Having run my own consultancy for several years, I felt the time was right to join forces with a larger agency. Empica is the most respected name in the field in this region and I’m looking forward to playing a part in its ambitious growth plans over the coming years.”
Empica, which has a satellite office in London, now has a staff of 14 serving around 30 clients across all sectors. The agency includes public relations, events, digital/online services and video production.
