Vegan snacking brand exceeds crowdfunding target of £400,000 by 250%

Perkier, the fast-growing healthy snack bar in the UK is investing over £1m in marketing, instore activation, innovation, and recruitment to accelerate its growth, expand market share and shake up the category by providing tasty snacks with game-changing functional benefits.

Completing a highly successful crowdfunding campaign on Seedrs, Perkier exceeded its original £400,000 target by 250% to generate over £1million of funding. The investments ranged from £11.40 to six-figure sums. Perkier’s growth at 30% year on year (versus a category decline of  -2.9%), expert leadership team and agility made it an attractive prospect to over 300 investors who signed up to get a bite of the brand.

The funds will accelerate growth by increasing investment in Digital Marketing to grow brand awareness and sales, instore activation to catch the shoppers eye, innovation, and expanding its high-performance Perky team. This new cash injection will enable the business to reach more shoppers than ever before, challenging the market’s dominant players and growing its share of the £365.4m snack bar category.

Perkier bars are sold in Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, ASDA and Amazon, and leading food-to-go outlets. Invited onto Amazon’s exclusive Launchpad program for high potential SMEs in January 2021, Perkier is set to expand their online presence through Amazon into the EU and beyond.
