Venue announced for new event

Outlook PortisheadThe venue has been announced for a new event that will showcase Portishead.

The Portishead Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with local event management company In Any Event UK, is to host Outlook Portishead.

The event will review the redevelopment of Portishead and the progress the town is making and where it is heading.

Somerset Hall in Portishead, has now been named as the location where the event will be held.

The conference is aimed at business people and anybody with an interest in the development of Portishead- which is one of the fastest growing towns in the UK.

The event will also feature a debate session where the audience will be able to ask a panel questions. BBC correspondent David Passmore will host the debate session.

Alex Woodward, President of the Portishead Chamber, comments: “We’re keen to show the business community inside and outside of Portishead that it’s a great place to work.

“The event will showcase a diverse range of businesses and give them a platform to develop new business opportunities.

“Plus, it will enable everyone to get a good look at how the town continues to develop into one of the most prosperous and exciting places to live and work in the region.”

Outlook Portishead will take place on Thursday May 2. Colin Sextone, who is Chairman of Portishead and Bristol based Charles Cook & Company Solicitors, will be the headline speaker on the day.
