Portishead-based engineering and technology company, Viper Innovations have been helping to provide vital PPE equipment to local key workers in the South West.
Thanks to their employee Guangqiao Xu, a Systems Engineer, who was able to secure and order 20,000 medical face masks, 10,000 N95 respirator masks and 1,000 coveralls through his contacts in China.
12,000 of the medical face masks have already been personally delivered by Viper’s Managing Director, Neil Douglas to local care homes, North Somerset Council and the NHS Bristol central collection centres for onward distribution to carers in North Somerset, Bristol, and South Gloucestershire.
The delivery of the N95 respirator masks have just arrived at Viper’s offices with the protective coveralls expected within the next week.
Viper Innovations are now appealing to any other South West companies who are willing to contribute to the costs so that the entire shipment can be donated free of charge to the NHS.
They would also like to thank The Bristol Port Company, Stancold and West of England Academic Health Science Network (AHSN) who have already joined Viper Innovations in this financial contribution.
